I met Julie Peake in March of 2015. I had been trying to lose weight for a few years. I was working out about once a week at some chain gyms. I was playing volleyball once a week and hiking periodically. But it just wasn’t working. While waiting for a new club to open up I heard that Smart Fit was offering a 30 minute boot camp on Saturday mornings. I thought I could handle a 30 minute class, so I went. I was a bit reluctant to go through the fitness assessment, but did it anyway. I took the boot camp class and met with Julie once a week for personal one on one training. I eventually increased my one on one training to twice a week and graduated to an hour boot camp.
Before I met Julie, I found it difficult to find the time to work out on any regular basis. Today I look forward to it. Before I became a Smart Fit client, I was overweight, struggling with my self-image and not in charge of my health. Today, a little over a year later, I am 50 pounds and 6 dress sizes smaller. I make the time to work out and find I get more done by prioritizing it in my schedule. My self-image before, while not totally disgusted was pretty close. Today, I’m not perfect but I am accepting and working on the things I want, because I KNOW with the help of Julie, I can get there.
It has been easy for me to recommend Smart Fit. People see the difference in me and I tell them if they want to change they should meet with Smart Fit. Whether you are a professional athlete or a couch potato, Julie has an uncanny ability of meeting you where you are and helping you improve. You won’t feel inadequate or pushed beyond your ability. Just keep doing what you can, Smart Fit will keep you educated and motivated, and you too will see results.
I believe we often get gifts in life, frequently we walk right pass them and don’t open them. I am so grateful to have recognized the gift of Smart Fit. It has forever changed my life.
